This project is the residence of Rung, the owner of a local fashion brand in Chiang Mai. Rung has a deep appreciation for art, handmade crafts, and has a passion for collecting furniture and home decor from various travels during work. We meticulously gathered information during the design phase and integrated these cherished pieces into the home, making them an essential part of the overall design.

The home is located in the Muang district of Chiang Mai and is thoughtfully divided into two main structures: the front building serves as the studio, while the rear building is the living space. The orientation of the buildings has been carefully planned to optimize sunlight, airflow, and views.

The front studio is designed with two floors. The second floor is an open-plan office, creating a spacious and airy environment that encourages interaction among the staff. The first floor is dedicated to fabric stock storage. We intentionally separated the workspace to maintain a clear distinction between work and living areas. Large doors connect the office to the balcony and the inner garden, allowing for seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

The central garden acts as an oasis within the home, providing a tranquil space that both the studio and living areas can enjoy.

At the front of the house, a koi pond enhances the sense of wealth and prosperity. This pond extends into the interior, where it can be seen from the kitchen. The kitchen counters are designed to float, with glass panels below that create a levitating effect, allowing a view of the koi pond from within the house.

Feng Shui principles were also carefully considered in the design.

The upper floor houses the private areas, including the master bedroom and bathroom, both of which are spacious and offer stunning views. The main living space was also flipped to the upper floor to ensure maximum privacy.

This home serves as an oasis in the heart of the city, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, privacy, and a creative environment for work.
